Responsibilities

Position Title: Consultant – Radiologist (Teleradiology) 

Duty Station: Manila (Global) Administrative Centre, Philippines 

Classification: Consultant 

Type of Appointment: Consultant, Six Months Estimated Start Date : As soon as possible 

Closing Date: 19 February 2020 

Salary: All-inclusive of USD 2.00 (per individual CXR’s reading and submission to e-medical) 

 

Context: 

IOM, created in 1951, is the main intergovernmental organization in the field of migration, and it works in close collaboration with governmental, intergovernmental and non-governmental partners. IOM’s mission is to guarantee an orderly and humane management of migrations, promote international cooperation on migratory issues, help find practical solutions to migratory problems and offer humanitarian aid to migrants in need. 

 

Nature of the consultancy: To support the increased Teleradiology primary CXR reading service for many IOM Health Assessment Program field locations and non-IOM panel clinic. 

 

IOM Project to which the Consultancy is contributing: Migration Health Division – IOM Global Teleradiology and Quality Control Center, Manila, Philippines. 

 

Required Qualifications and Experience: 

  • Completed university degree from an accredited academic institution in Medicine; and post graduate residency training in diagnostic radiology. 
  • Radiology board Certificate is obligatory; 
  • Experience on chest radiology; screening CXR reading, experience in pediatric radiology and teaching an advantage; 
  • Good writing and communication skills; 
  • Thorough knowledge radiological presentation of tuberculosis; 
  • Thorough knowledge of the English medical/radiological terminology; 
  • Good Computer skills and technology friendly 
  • Experience and Knowledge in software used for Digital Radiography an advantage.
